Hesitating curiosity made him study philosophy but the bachelor years were enough to realize that, besides the academy, philosophy can also be defined by one’s DNA.
The need to break out and explore the world found a basis in a Master's in Nautical Sciences. This maritime branch instigated his interest in ethnic and natural diversity and made it possible to build an international management career.
Moral awareness has been constant in his life, for decades also including ecology, but sadly way too late. Now he is a retired 60er and a happy grandfather, healthy and enjoying a lifetime fall with his exotic partner.

Winning the lottery is perhaps the ultimate stroke of luck for many, at least for those who play, but that lucky shot may also show elsewhere.
I wrote a moral-philosophical book, coming out the end of this month, with a fantasy/interpretation of the Big Bang as starting point.
It surely sounds crazy, but to me, something that seems to define the essence of anyone's being.
On the other hand, I'm also a retired nobody, who drives a taxi every Friday for that little extra,... what tops off your pension.
Hey man, what a gorgeous job; especially in this international, university-city of Leuven/Belgium.
End of March, I had to pick up someone at the Airport of Zaventem/Belgium for the university of Leuven.
An older man with a corona mouth mask approached, and confirmed my signboard, so off we went.
I casually asked him the domain of his science, and that appeared to be, yes, yes: astrophysics.
It almost blew my head off, and shouted: "You just made my day!"
I started about the bestseller "On the Origin of Time" of Thomas Hertog I was reading; he didn't read the book, but knew Thomas Hertog because that was his host, for his upcoming lecture that night.
I kindly asked if he didn't mind me overwelming him with my talks, and since he still had to do some finalising work on his reading, I politely shut my mouth.
Fortunately in the approach of our destination, he started talking again, so I was able to mention the writing of my book: the fantasy/interpretation of the Big Bang as the awakening of awareness, ignited by the Doubt/Questioning that counters the absolute Certainty of the Singularity.
And from there the development of an encompassing concept of Congruency, about which he asked a few questions.
I dropped him at his hotel, me in tears, and maybe because of my tears: his substantial tip ;-)?
I quickly looked up who he was, and... Gosh, I drove the eminent Noble Prize winner Physics of 2017: KIP THORNE, from Interstellar, and good friend of Hawking.
Of all those in this present world who know something about the Big Bang and such - the core idea of my book - my guess is that he at least must rank in the top 10; so a one lucky shot in almost a billion??
This day is etched with capitals in my memory.
